Smart Hose Hub Firmware Upgrade Keeps Failing

Hello, I am having this issue w/ my hub as well. I bought this unit last year but finally am taking it out of the box now to try, replacing my b-hyve unit. Can you assist? App gets stuck in updating firmware, have rebooted hub and the status lights blink and then go out, unit reports its updating in app but never completes. Wi-Fi firmware version reporting 2.01, BLE firmware 2.02.

I had the engineering team send the firmware update and the hub looks good to go, please let the team know if you have any other issues.

Hi, have had both hub and valve replaced under warranty, and now have this same problem. Asks me to turn off the hub for 10 seconds and try again. Problem repeats.

Can you have engineering look at my problem too?

I’m having the exact same problem. WiFi hub firmware update gets hung up at the very end up the upgrade. I’ve power cycled and closed the app and restarted it.

Everything looks good and updated, do you have additional question or issues?

Have had the Rachio control for several years and love its ease.

Purchased the hose control with hub in order to control the wife’s garden when we leave town.

Have attempted the hub update no less than 5 times now all with same results. FAIL. Having read this thread the issue should be fixed already and Rachio needs to send the update from their end anytime someone connects a hub.

The secretive response on how it’s fixed is not very comforting in this product.

Different network configurations can be problematic. The majority of base stations have no issue upgrading, I will private message you with a followup, and if needed the team can ship out pre-upgraded unit tomorrow.

Piling on here: having the same issue with my Smart Hose Timer and Android app. I’ve unplugged the hub multiple times, took batteries out of the valve and restarted the app multiple times. Now I can’t even use the smart hose timer because it states that: “Sync in progress” but never returns from a sync state.

Would love some assistance here!

Following up with the solution. The valve had not fully updated firmware.

After these steps, the valve is good to go.

Important, don’t forget this step before re-pairing.

The valve’s memory must be cleared by holding the valve button down for 11 seconds until you see a red light. This should be done before repairing the device

I’ve got 3 smart hose timers hung up with the “Hub firmware updating” I tried power cycling the hub and it’s still the same

Same issue here. My Firmware update for my second valve fails, now it is bricked.

The WiFi firmware lists two: 6.015 and 6.0.16

For the valve I installed today ago the Hub/Valve Serial number is CA844053-CB345141 Firmware 3.0.52

For the valve I installed 2 days ago the Hub/Valve Serial number is CA844053-CB835204 Firmware 6.0.15 (firmware successfully updated 2 days ago)
