No one has reached out to me yet. I have already returned it and ordered a new one to see if there was a defect. Now I am on my second unit and having the same issue.

Hi there @MAK10! It appears your hub is currently disconnected. It also looks like previous firmware updates failed due to it disconnecting while the update was in progress. Can you try power cycling the hub and ensuring it’s reporting as connected in the app before starting the firmware update?
I tried many times to update the hub. The last time I tried I left it trying to update for a long time. When I got back to it a while later, it stopped updating and was just sitting there disconnected. Now I held the little button for 5 seconds to connect to WiFi again and it worked. Now I am trying to update again, which I am sure will fail again.

@MAK10 apologies for the trouble, I’m going to forward this case to our support team to help trouble shoot.
When can I expect to hear from someone?
I didn’t want to wait more so I called them myself. They could not help me either and literally told me to return the product which will now be my second return. Bottom line is the product does not work, at all.
Your case has been escalated with the support team, so you should expect to hear from them again today
Hi. I’m having the same issue as everyone else. 3/4 of my timers have updated but one will not. I’ve restarted the hub multiple times. Please help me and my grass
I took a look at your valve that won’t update. Can you try forgetting the valve, doing a reset, then pairing/updating again. If that doesn’t work let me know.
Instructions can be found here: How do I factory reset and remove a device from my Rachio account?
I am still having issues. My original hub kept failing in firmware update. You sent me a new hub and valve in late July, and that one has never been able to connect to my network and allow me to configure the valve.
What can I do here?! Love the sprinkler controller I have, but this hub won’t update or won’t connect. If it was my network, why does the sprinkler controller work on the same one? Very frustrating….
Were you able to get this connected? If not I can have our support team reach out to you.
Thank you for being a Rachio customer!
No I was not.
Ok, I will followup with our customer support team.
I am having the same problem. The iOS app asks me to update the firmware, but it gets “stuck” at the end and never finishes updating. I tried power cycling the hub, but the problem persists.
The base station and valve appear to be on the correct version of firmware. @jcraighunter Do you still need assistance?
Well add me to the list. I’ve been trying to get this hose timer and hub working for hours, both want firmware updated and both are unable to complete the updates.
Sorry couldn’t find a way to edit my post…after a couple removeing/re-adding of the hub and valve it decided to work, I’m all set now.
@sms111 Things look good on our end, are you still having issues?
I’m having the same problem – hub firmware update worked, but timer firmware update times out. I’ve power cycled the hub several times as instructed - still doesn’t work. (Note: this is my second hub/timer – I had the same problem with the first one so I exchanged it. So my account may show two failed attempts). Thanks!
