Agreed. It seems like a pretty simple solution. I use my irrigation system to keep deer out of the yard with a smarthome hub (SmartThings). My neighbor wants to do the same using his Amazon Alexa and existing camera system. The routines on my hub allow me to stop a quick run after 1 minute. Alexa’s routines are more basic and don’t allow zones to be turned off after 1 minute so I am assuming it will default to 3 minutes. Hope rachio addresses this issue.
