Backup zone settings?

say, is there a way to backup zone settings, or the rest of the settings ??
after reading the rachio divorced me thread, and hearing about the loss of settings, thinking i should keep that info on hand somehow.
measuring roots, calculating flow, soil type, things like that.

i am aware it should be good online, but just in case… might do the old school pen and paper thing, lol. only 6 zones here.

I keep all mine in a spreadsheet. And when I was dialing the system in, I only made one change at a time and kept track of what change I made, along with the date.

I submitted this as a feature request over two years ago, but I don’t think there has been any action on it yet…

Export configuration and activity report as a file

As I seconded your request, I keep hoping.

Any news on this? I’ve got my Rachio dialed in but always worry about it going out or something.

If your physical unit goes out, you don’t lose the information. That is all cloud stored, and installing a new unit will prompt to move data to new controller.

I would love to export the settings . Manually having to page through multiple pages to check the inputs is awful. Having to do this and write everything down for future reference adds to the pain. My system has worked pretty well for several years. Every now and then a zone will suddenly start watering the day after a 1.5" rain. A quick check that the rain skip and/or correct weather station is linked to reveals that isn’t the problem so then I need to go digging. And if that station is messed up, what about the others?
I would like to set my zones up once…export and save my settings. Then when I think I need to adjust I would review the settings on the spreadsheet and decide what I want to change. No prowling around needed. With a few notes I could track my changes. A saved file or hard copy would set me up to efficiently recover from the wonkiness that sometimes seems to happen after we have multiple power outages or a failing gfi or whatever. As it is, I face a day of tediously going through every setting and/or resetting the system and starting over. And what happens the next time this happens? Older and wiser, I will have made my own spreadsheet. This really isn’t a smart setup.
All that is needed is the ability to export all User Inputs as a csv with a minimal amount of labeling to make it comprehensible.
A set up that would allow restoring from a cvs might be good if it turns out that more than just a few settings go wonky.
