My solution for wifi connection problems

I had the same trouble like others to connect my Racio 3 to wifi.
The problem is not Mesh! The problem ist that in US wifi only supports the following channels:
2,4 GHz: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11
5 GHz: 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 147, 151, 155, 167

This is different to the channels in europe, so if you use a FRITZ!Box like I do use the 7590 and have “auto channel” feature enabled, it is likely possible, that your router changes to a channel that Rachio 3 does NOT support!

My solution was to add a dedicated wireless Access Point (because I didn’t want to disable the “auto channel” feature “including channel 12 & 13” in my FRITZ!Box 7590), that I set up to use the following channels:

2,4 GHz: 9
5GHz: 60
