Worth upgrading from 2 to 3?

I currently have an 8 zone gen 2 unit which i recently linked to a new Tempest. All seems to be functioning as it should.

Just thinking about upgrading to the Rachio 3 but wondering what the advantages are to doing so. Are there significant capabilities of the 3 that would warrant an upgrade?

At this time, not really…about the only feature that would be missed by not upgrading would be the new valve monitoring.

Now, going forward, there could be additional things that come out that would be capable only with the R3.
