The new Rachio 3 comes with a transformer, but also has a 24 volt set of terminals at the end of the unit, are these input terminals or output terminals ? Possibly an alternate for hard wiring 24 volts , instead of the plug in transformer
They are output only, primarily designed to power sensors. These terminals are connected to the power rail through a filter which is not designed for a high current load.

Thank you Gene, the correct wiring of the Rachio 3 is quite vague, there should be more information for master valves and more complete notations about circuit loads, and the problems it causes with the Rachio 3, Again thanks for your help.
