Per troubleshooting instructions I’ve seen elsewhere, yes, if you are iPhone 11 or 12 user, you should “setup” your Rachio 3 using your computer. That works for me using my Mac, BUT… that’s as far as it goes for me. For the next step, when I actually try to use the Rachio app on my iPhone to “Add a Controller”, it fails to find my Rachio 3. I have full strength wifi in my garage, where the Rachio is located. I need help.
UPDATE: RESOLVED! I contacted Rachio phone support, and they needed to register my second controller on their end in order for it not to be confused with the first one, or something to that effect. I also managed to register the first controller under a different email address (and different than what I am using for the Rachio app on my iPhone) – so that may have been the issue too. So I am happy to say, all is working great. Thank you, Rachio phone support! Very helpful!
