Why should I replace my Gen 2 with a Gen 3?

I have an opportunity to get a new Gen 3 for free, including installation. My question is, why should I? My Gen 2 is working fine, I still do not have a flow meter and since Rachio discontinued the wireless that advantage appears lost. So why update/upgrade from my working Gen 2 to a new Gen 3?

I recently replaced my Gen 1 with a Gen 2. I didn’t want a Gen 3 because it’s Weather Intelligence Plus doesn’t support local weather stations. I have a Tempest and wanted to use it versus farther away stations.
