Water Usage

Hi,

We installed a new irrigation system with the Rachio Wireless controller. How accurate is the water usage on the Rachio? We seem to have a major discrepancy between the county water bill and what Rachio claims as usage for the last quarter. The county claims we used 60,000 more gallons than what Rachio reports for the same period. Our household usage in a quarter is typically between 20,000 to 25,000 gallons, so trying to figure out how accurate the Rachio is.

We estimate usage by using the nozzle type selected (in./hr) and square footage of each zone. The default is 500 sq. ft. This can be modified in advanced zone settings. If you get these two values dialed in our estimated usage will get much closer to the truth.
