Wouldn’t it be great to have a watch app, while out fixing sprinklers. Think mud, glue, water. Would be so convenient to tap an app using your knuckle, without taking phone out of pocket. A time saver and nice convenience factor.
Though it’s not supported, the Rachio iPhone app can expose the on/off switch for all your zones in the Home app (built into the watch) via HomeKit. Tap the Apple watch’s Home app, then the water drop, then tap the item named after your Rachio to see the zones. If you spend some time on your Mac or iPhone’s Home app, you can name all the zones appropriately too. YMMV, unsupported, marginally useful, but doable!
