recently changed the controller to Rachio and got the valve monitoring as well. got the initial baseline reading of 180mA. recently i got an alert saying high current reading of 226mA and to consult irrigation professional. checked the valve’s specifications ( the valve is rainbird 100 DV installed in 2014) and is says solenoid power requirement : 0.450 A inrush current and 0.250A holding current. I am not sure this has anything to do with the rachio valve monitoring or not and wanted to know if this is within normal range or something that requires a professional to look at it. I am not sure if changing the solenoid only is possible as the replacement solenoid that I was able to find in the store appears to be newer generation and stated if may not work with older model.
