Trying to get some plant discussions goung, with spring around the corner. Crepe Myrtle bark scale is a serious problem throughout the South. Smother scale by spraying winter dormant oil, then use neem oil throughout the growing season, as well as systemic insectide. Here is some good info about this pest.
