I’ve done the jar test on four areas of my yard. I’m a bit confused by the results since all the guides talk about three layers of definition. What if there are four, or more?
My area (Pflugerville, Texas) is mostly Houston Black clay with Clay Loam and Silty Clay in my sub-div, based on the NRCS soil map.
I’ve set my zones to “Clay Loam” since the native soil has been amended over the years.
What do y’all think, based on these photos?
