How can I set up an account on my mobile device for the Rachio when it is still connected to the previous owners mobile device we have not yet moved into the home but are the homeowners and having it painted. We have no Wi-Fi yet but our plants and yard are dying without the sprinkler system working, any suggestions on how to override and get the yard watered
@KDFitt - Have the prior homeowner transfer the device to your email, if they haven’t already. If you can’t get them to transfer the device, take a picture of the serial number and send it to Rachio support to get them to transfer the device to you. I would have the prior homeowner transfer it if possible, that way the programs should still be intact.
Then set up a hot spot using another device, change the Rachio unit over to that WiFi and create some Fixed schedules - those will run without WiFi.
Or, depending on the model, you can use the buttons on the front to run one zone at a time (for 10 minutes, if I remember correctly).
