Soil Type Help

Web soil survey shows “Preston Sand”

PrD Preston sand 64.7%
SP Stony terrace escarpments 30.0%
St Stony alluvial land 5.3%

Which type would that translate to in your system?

Thanks!

In his example, what are the second two items meant to be in the pyramid? Is one silt and the other clay then?

I believe these are soil profiles not items in the pyramid. Should be in the descriptions, if these are from a soils test.

My suggestion would be to do the Jar test with soil from the plant root zone in at least one Irrigated zone area. Multiple if you wish

Thanks for the advice. Was really hoping not to have to break out the old science experiment kit on this one.
