Secondary pressure reducing valve for sprinkler system?

Has anyone ever installed a secondary PRV solely for their sprinkler system?

My problem is a few of my zones water hammer unless I turn down the whole house pressure below a pressure that is acceptable in the rest of the house. It’s still enough pressure for the sprinklers to get enough coverage though.

I would like to install a secondary PRV to the line feeding just my irrigation system. This line T’s off the mainline POST mainline PRV (if that makes sense). That way I can adjust the pressure to the irrigation system independently from the line feeding the house.

Shouldn’t be an issue. That was recommended for my system since I have pretty high pressure but I never actually did it
