Schedule not following even/odd days

Hopefully this is the right category.

I just set up my first schedule, and I’m not sure what I’m missing. I set a flex monthly schedule, for odd days, and it insists on watering only every 5 days. What am I doing wrong??

Flex monthly uses historical data for your locale to estimate watering requirements. Is it possible that (considering it estimates almost 3 1/2 hours of irrigation needed) is enough to keep sufficient water in your profile that watering every 5 days (excluding skips, etc.) everything will grow just fine? Were you expecting more water would be needed? If you just started, Rachio has to assume (using flex monthly) that it has to maintain steady watering that past history suggests. It could be doing just that… which, of course, is why you bought it. This group can tell you: you’re going to water less - with better results.

When you’ve figured out how flex monthly (watering according to historical requirements) works, you might try flex daily, where you let Rachio decide every day what’s appropriate for your irrigation requirements, using local weather stations, and hyper-local forecasting. Perhaps, I just know the guy who sprays .h yard said to run certain zones for 30, and some of them for 45. And he said to water 3 times a week, according to the condition of the grass. I’ll try flex daily, and see how that goes.
