Loving my Rachio so far! Our garden is in the back of the yard, far enough that it has always been on its own battery-powered controller (150’ or so). Doesn’t seem like it’s worth trying to run a wire out there to the valve. I wonder if it would ever be possible to make a slave unit that could be controlled by the main Rachio if on the same wifi network. Maybe there would be issues with wifi transmission distance but my phone has decent signal strength out there.
