Received wrong power supply

I just installed my new Rachio 3. When I tried to connect the power supply I discovered that the wrong one was included in the box. This one needs to plug into a receptacle but the Rachio 3 controller needs two wires to connect to the 24 VAC connectors.

Would it work to cut off the plug and strip the wires inside to connect to the 24 VAC connectors?

Would this void my warranty?

It should plug into the receptacle right under the label?

Duh, I thought that I had felt around for the receptacle but missed it. It plugs in and lights up. Now I just have to set up the app etc.
