How will the merger affect the Rachio 3 and Hose Timer API’s that myself (and others) depend on for smart home integrations? This is a valid concern that I hope will be addressed by Rachio in the near future.
Totally understand your concern. I just confirmed with Franz that there are no changes expected with the API.
Expect the same as when Google bought Nest, and be happy if that doesn’t happen. This is the problem with Cloud based devices, you are at the companies’ mercy.
I called Rachio about the disappearnce of of sprinkler heads from the web site. They told me they didn’t sell sprinkler heads. Kind of bummed since they had sent a promotion days earlier.
