Rain Skip Problems

My system is running when I don’t think it should be based on forecasted weather. It ran at 4:30am today despite over an inch of rain forecasted beginning tonight.

Everywhere on rachio’s website (Rain Skip FAQ, Weather Intelligence Plus FAQ, etc) says it looks at forecasted precipitation over the next 24 hours to determine if it should skip. Customer service told me it is actually 12 hours. Meanwhile, a nearby friend says his looks at the next 48 hours (he sent me the email on the last skip that confirmed that).

It would seem to me that 12 hours can’t possibly right because that means the system would rain the morning of a day where it is going to pour that night. That’s quite a waste of water.

So what is correct as far as how many hours ahead it looks at forecasted precip to determine if it should skip a run?
