I am a little confused as my Rain Dial has two wires red and yellow that go to the 24 VAC. I haslve seen post that you should and shouldnt wire to the Rachio this way and should be capped? Shouldn’t it be wired?
I do not know what wire is my C and if i have an M wire? Can you help clarify this? I think the white wire is tje VC.
What do i do with yellow and green wire in the earth ground slot. Where would this tie to?
I believe the red, yellow, plus the yellow with green are going to the transformer to power the controller & valves. These will not go to the Rachio. In the case of Rachio, you would just use the supplied power adapter. The VC with the thin white wire is the “Valve Common” which will go to ‘C’ on the Rachio. It looks like you currently have three zones (1-3). I do not see anything going to the Pump / Master Valve terminal. The bridge for the sensor means you do not have one. I suggest double checking to make sure all valves are working before switching. It looks like a pretty easy switch. Please feel free post pictures afterwards, ask question, and asking for help with all the settings in the app.
