Rachio 3 with pump start relay

Please…hoping someone can help. I bought a Munro PSR because my prior setup (Rainbird) has one integrated into it. I got the Rachio to power on and (after some troubleshooting) connect to my WiFi. When I tried to test Zone 1 the PSR clicked once but the pump didn’t start. I’ve attached pics of the wiring. Of note there is (was there on prior setup) an on/off switch between the pump and the controller/PSR.

In the above pic the red/black wires are coming from the breaker

Here the black (hot) merges w the orange which then goes up to the PSR. The yellow goes up to PSR

Yellow and orange come from switch into PSR. Then black/white goes to MV in the Rachio and yellow/white goes to COM

Any help/guidance would be MUCH appreciated!

White/Yellow and White/Black seem to be correct in going to the relay. The L1 and L2 need to be powered - the red one seems to be connecting into a nut with the black Line, while yellow seems to go to that switch - the switch, need more info on it, is it a 3-way? two red lines on the side, one yellow and black on the other. Can’t understand its role. Is it a DPDT?

What is coming out of T1 and T2 in the relay box and how is the small relay connected to the contactor?

Boy, this right here scares me. I’m assuming the cut the jacket and pulled it back to run around the terminal, leaving the bare wire ticked back a 1/2" or so in the jacket, but I hate seeing bare ends being pushed back into the box uncapped/taped.

Otherwise, is there a particular reason that you need the switch in there?

yeah, the wire termination is not to code, for sure, was going to say something, looked like the wire broke, but that is the way they wired them.

That seems to be a double switch, it’s designed to shut off the power to the pump so you don’t get surprised when servicing the pump. Make sure it is on.
