Like a lot of other people on this forum I am experiencing the issue of a brand new unit being stuck in a failed boot up.Like many others my unit worked fine for a few days. In my case the I powered down the unit to move the plug and it never came back up. I have also done the discharge method per the light indicator instructions. I have factory reset the device several times with the same results. The unit is essentially bricked.
@droogish - Try calling 1 844 4RACHIO (1 844 472 2446) and they’ll send you a new one. Or email support at rachio.com
I had exactly the same issue. Resetting device, resetting wifi, turning off/on, and everything else did not help. Finally I did something else. My router had wifi network with two WIFI bands enabled: 2.4 Ghz / 5Ghz. I updated this setting in my router and enabled only 2.4 Ghz band. After this change, I once again, tried updating wifi network in Rachio and it immediately connected to the network. Hope this will help someone.
