Does anyone know of a compatible power cord extension? I don’t have an outlet near my controller and need about 20 extra feet.
I would run a 120 3 prong extension from your receptacle to your controller location and then plug the brick into it. Amazon does sell barrel connector extensions too but with running a normal 120 extension you will have another power source in that location in case you ever need one.
Is this an indoor install?
If outdoor, I don’t think extension cords would be code compliant. You probably need to run a power conduit ending in an always-in-use-covered wall mounted power socket closer to your controller, then use an outdoor rated pigtail plug from your Rachio outdoor enclosure to that newly installed socket. My understanding is that the plug is required for emergency shut downs by anyone servicing the system, i.e. do not hard wire the controller to a junction box.
