My pool builder hooked up a zone to fill my pool. It’s not vegetation, there is no soil type or slope. I’ve set it up to run manually because I don’t know the evaporation rate. It doesn’t need smart soak, but rain skip would be nice. A sensor to know when to fill would be even better rather than having to schedule by day. If it’s going to rain tomorrow, I don’t want the pump sucking air, but don’t want to overfill either if rain will cause water to go into the overflow drain.
All this to say, it would be nice to have a non-vegetation option when setting up the zone. Maybe it could have other parameters that make sense. You guys might have other ideas specifically for a pool fill, or just keep it generic as a non-vegetation zone, at least to start. Other uses might be a koi pond or other water feature like a fountain.
