Hello. New to the Rachio. Replacing a Toro Evolution system. I wired it what I think is properly but the system isn’t turning on. The first time I triggered it the first zone responded but then it shut off. So no idea what to try.
@willjR0K5- looks like it is wired correctly. I might go to a valve and manually turn it on (either a bleed screw or turning the solenoid) to make sure water pressure is still getting to the valves.
Were there any messages about too much current?
Did the Rachio unit dim or brown out when the zone was run?
Have you tried manually selecting a different zone to run using the buttons on the unit?
That is what I felt also. I also checked the valves and when I opened up the bleed screw, water came shooting out…so I know both valves are full open.
No messages. The light has always been solid blue…so I don’t know that it’s successfully connected so far. I did forget to test the system prior to removing the old controller. Everything was professionally blown out in the fall. Was dumb of me not to test first. I can always reinstall the old controller quick to see it work and then shift.
I tried selecting the buttons on unit. The only time that I saw the system respond was the first attempt to trigger the first zone.
@willjR0K5 - that is what I’m thinking! The handle normally shows the position of the opening. I wonder if there was residual pressure left in the line or where the pressure is coming from.
