Just bought a house that already has the Rachio system set up and I tried to test the irrigation system through the Rachio app but wasn’t able to get any water flowing.
Any decent links that will guide me with troubleshooting or learning the system? In the meantime, I will navigate the forum and YT.
@Wucifer - Which generation of Rachio 1, 2 or 3?
When running zones did the machine interface change (for later gens)?
Is the water on to the system? Can you find a valve and manually activate it?
Is there a master valve in the system?
Thank you for the reply. I do not know to all those questions but that will give me something to look into. My system is in Edmonton, AB, so we get about 5 months weather that might need irrigation. I would assume the valves are closes during the winter months.
@Wucifer - probably so. Look for a cut-off valve (not a sprinkler valve) that would shut off water to the entire system. During winterization the water was probably cut off and the rest of the water was blown out of the pipes using air pressure to prevent the lines from breaking due any water in them freezing and expanding.
