I am only using 4 zones on the Gen2 and am wondering if I can safely move them to the Gen3 without trouble. Or do I have to program from scratch?
You won’t be able to use the automated feature when moving from a controller with more zones than the newer one. If you went from a 4 zone to 8 zone, you could, but not the way you are going unfortunately.
