I have been using a Spruce Controller v1 with SmartThings v3 Hub and 12+ Spruce Soil Sensors (v1 & v3) for over 5 years.
It’s been great. Water usage has dropped more than 50% since going to this closed-loop watering system. It is kind of like Rachio’s Flex Daily system, but using variable-length watering times based on soil moisture levels and history.
But Samsung has just pulled support for Groovy scripts on its SmartThings boxes, breaking my existing Spruce system.
Trying to figure out whether I can use these Spruce Sensors with a Rachio controller. The Spruce Sensors appear as valid devices in the SmartThings app.
Has anyone tried this??
