Hi, I am getting the following errors “Master Value may have wiring issues and cannot water until fixed.” However, my zones are working. What could be the issue?
I tried disconnecting Master Value from the controller and the error stopped. I connected it again with just one zone and the zone is watering but the controller still throwed the wiring fault error message. I have tried this with few other zones individually. The zone is watering but I still get the error.
Is that a new setup with your Rachio? Do you happen to have pictures of the wiring on the old controller and then also on the new? Do you have a master value and/or pump? Do you know which model, etc.?
The Model is Rachio 3 and my setup has a master valve. I switched to this few years ago and the system was working great until now.
I am not sure what is the trigger for the error message (I do not have a master value or pump). I would probably suggest trying to contact support so they can look into it. If they know, I ask that you post the answer here so others can look it up. If you do not hear back, maybe post again anyway and we can draw some attention from Rachio.
Take a look at this post I created. In case if Rachio 3 doesn’t work with your Master valve for whatever reason, you can buy this simple DIN rail Contactor to get the issue fixed. If it worked fine and suddenly not working, it may be possible that your valve is damaged or got shorted/ or faulty. It does happen.
However, as an alternative, I got multiple valves working using external power supply, with low budget system which is pretty solid. Let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to help with Master valve Operations.
