I need to manage tank level for my system. Right now the janky system I’ve got has line voltage (not my idea) on the relays and switches around the tanks and pump (non of which is NEMA 4 or 4X, just indoor stuff stuck outdoors). Ideally you’d offer integration with a loop-powered radar transmitter with high and low relays (5amps) to turn on and off my well pump.
So you have a tank of supply water, if its too low you don’t want the irrigation system to function?
My approach would be to use the Rain Sensor input connected to the dry contact on your tank. A simple float valve would do it. The ones they sell that you plug into an outlet, and then plug a sump pump into that would do it. Simply cut off the plugs on both ends, and wire black wire of each end to the rain sensor input. And those are already NEMA4 rated, AND no line voltage.
When water level is low, the circuit is open, which is exactly what a dry rain sensor would be.
