Hello. I have a Hunter XCore with a rain sensor. See wiring image. Could someone guide me on the wiring please? I want to install a Rachio 3, which wire goes where?

I would suggest the following steps:

  1. Label all wires
  2. Run through each zone to make sure they all are working as is
  3. Wires
    1. Move 1-7 from Hunter to Rachio 1-7
    2. Repeat for C
    3. Move Hunter P to Rachio M
    4. For now, I would not connect the sensor. With Rachio’s weather, most seem to not use the rain sensor
  4. Do not connect Hunter’s 24 VAC to Rachio, rather, use the Rachio supplied power supply
  5. Rachio app
    1. Add controller
    2. Configure the Pump or Master Valve in the Rachio app
    3. Test the zones
    4. Configure the zones, some find this a bit overwhelming at first but we are here to try to help
