Gen 2 Just getting started, questions already


I’m just in the installation stage right now. Is it supposed to to take half an hour for the “updating firmware” to complete? If so, I guess I’ll just keep waiting…


It will depend of your internet speed / quality / connection to the Rachio cloud provider, etc… It should not take that long. Mine lasted about 4 minutes ( + or - ) .

I got it working, thanks. And what a great system - I had no idea! I just wanted something I could turn on and off from my smartphone, but it knows how much to water what types of plants!
