Does anyone know what happened to the Flow Calibration and detection that used to be in the app? I suffered an extended high flow issue in a drip zone and it was not detected for who know how long. This functionality worked very well and saved me lots of grief from landscapers breaking pipes, heads, etc.
Flow monitoring (leak detection) and Auto Shut Off based on low and high flow triggers are available in zone settings if you have a connected and enabled (controller settings - Accessories) flow meter installed. Aside from the issues of flowmeters having metering thresholds typically higher than some drip zones’ actual flow (which would prevent Rachio from seeing any - or enough - flow to detect a problem), perhaps you have a metering problem (disabled or broken) or a setup problem (both leak detection and auto shut off require enabling configuration). If all that seems right, send us a screenshot of that Flow Settings screen for the zone and anything about the normal capacity or requirements for the zone. Someone in this forum always pops up to help.
Hey JB,
Thanks for the info, for the life of me I could not find where the flow monitoring was set up. I’ve had this running for years and I had a leak I needed to investigate why it was not detected, it has worked in the past numerous times due to my landscaper damaging the drip lines when trimming the hedges. Now that I’ve found the setting I can test and calibrate as needed.
Thanks,
