I’m looking at whole house leak detection devices and trying to figure out if any integrate with the rachio. Unfortunately this is a situation where insurance is requiring leak detection, if Rachio doesn’t integrate I’ll have to replace the rachio. “Leak Detection” from Watts is at the top of the list for me followed by the Flo by Moen. Any ideas on how to get there from here with those or others?
Well more and more digging. Looks like flo logic and leak defense both wire to the master control on the rachio to be put into “standby” mode when irrigation is happening. Not the solution I was looking for (API level connection to sense when there is a leak in the irrigation system is what I want) but it will make the bean counters at the insurance company happy.
Page 18 in the Flo Logic installation manual, and page 18 on the leak defense manual (PAM Relay).
Hope this info helps someone else.
Moen have their own irrigation controller, so I’d venture to guess slim chances at integrating with Rachio on their part. I have it and it works ok. Had to setup an override for am hours to let my Rachio work. For irrigation leak detection I wired the EveryDrop Flow Meter and Rachio stops if it sees too much water going to the zone, knowing what normal means for each zone.
