Flex watering after heavy downpour :(

Same problem for me?? Heavy downpours last evening and no rain shows up on any weather stations nearby. (MID_E1585 is the one I am using)

Do you have a URL or screenshots of the precipitation for that station?

This isn’t showing any precipitation for the last 24 hours.

Correct it does not show any precip but we did have it. At least at our place 2.3 miles from the station. I guess that is my problem.

The team was able to quickly implement some additional logic for this type of issue and have run an update for this stations previous data.

I have confirmed it is matching PWSweather now.

Looking at this station, the issue is similar to the previous one today, except the station is in the central time zone, but the 24hour precip is resetting at midnight Eastern timezone, which is throwing off the summary calculation within the API.

The Aeris API by default will use the last 24hour precip value if its provided, which works in most cases. Though in a case like this using the last value causes an issue, since the station reset the value. Our system can also use the max value within a day if other parameters are met. The team is reviewing the calculations for this station / software combination now.

The team implemented a modification that resolved this issue. The update was run through our testing procedures without issue so an update has been made. I have confirmed the API summaries are now matching the max 24 hour value for this station.
