I’m not finding much on the Adjust Watering setting that looks like it was introduced in June of 24.
I changed to Flex Daily this year and set my zones up meticulously taking no shortcuts in getting accurate data and setting each zone up properly, including inches per hour since I know that’s going to be a question. BUT that has not been enough. Depending on the zone, the run times Rachio calculated is putting down .50 to .75 inches per week, and only running once per week, if not every 8, 9 days. Absolutely no way this could work given mid 90s temps with a heat index of mid 100s and little to no rain which is being pulled from my Tempest.
So, I stumbled across an article after searching and searching that Rachio put out last June saying that a new setting was added allowing users to adjust the watering durations. At first glance this appears to be my solution, but I’m curious why there is such a difference in what I need? If I set the system up so accurately, why would a zone putting down .73” of water per hour only run once per week for 43 minutes? It makes zero sense. That coupled with my zone settings reverting on multiple occasions ever further frustrates me and obviously causes concern.
I said all that to ask if anyone can explain the ‘Adjust Watering’ setting more in detail, and if this is my answer or not, and if this will affect the scheduled days that Flex Daily has set (will it further extend days between watering because it thinks more water is being put down).
