Dialing in for fescue sod on top of clay

hi,

How easy is it to dial in the Rachio 3 algorithms for a particular situation?

We recently built a new home and installed sod on top of heavy clay soil. Can someone help me understand how Rachio uses ET to estimate moisture in the zone? I purchased a simple moisture meter (Amazon.com) to check the moisture levels at different depths. We had .7" rain yesterday - was surprised to see variable readings from high to medium across the yard.

Your yard will vary so nothing is perfect but the setup let’s you choose the soil type so it understands the run off and absorption as well as setting the crop for water requirements
