I have some areas of my lawn that do great through the hot weather of the summer. I suspect i could be overwatering them. I’d like to dial back their watering, say 5% or so for the next summer and see how they do. What would be the best way to do that?
You can manually adjust the watering durations of any zone by editing the schedule that they’re in (specifically the Watering Duration field).
Is that the best way to do what I’m trying to do? What other ways are there to accomplish the same thing?
The first place I’d suggest focusing on is the accuracy your zone configuration, since settings there will influence the recommended watering duration. Don’t be like me right as I started out and make the mistake of changing the zone details to get the watering duration/frequency that you’d like to see (whoops!).
If you’re happy with everything there, then experimenting with the existing duration (perhaps just for a single zone to start?) makes sense.
