App Doesn’t Show Cycle That Ran

This morning, three of my zones (2-4) ran.

The soil moisture levels reflect that:

But my calendar and Last Run don’t:

I refreshed and reloaded the app :man_shrugging:t3: Is this a common glitch?

In your case the zones were actually running when the controller was offline.

Since they reported data when offline that explains why you are not seeing the zone run on the calendar. This actually did expose two defects.

  • We were correctly reporting the zone run data in the moisture graph but in your instance we should have shown that zones 2 and 3 watered offline. We are just showing that zone 4 reported watering offline. This issue has been fixed.
  • The offline watering events not showing up on the calendar is also a defect. I will have the team review and fix this. It’s an edge case (typically the controllers are online when watering) but something we should correct.

Thanks for reporting this display issue!

Thank you, @franz. That makes sense now. I didn’t know I had an offline issue.

I wonder if I need to check my connections. Everything appears good on my network, but that makes twice I’ve had offline issues in the last two weeks (5/2 as well).

I had the team review the controller and your signal strength (RSSI) was -68dBm, which on the spectrum gets a little choppy for connectivity. Typically anything over -70dBm I have seen sporadic disconnects.

IMO, users experiencing intermittent connectivity should check that themselves. I’ve seen screenshots posted here showing the Technical Info page including the RSSI value. But strangely, my Technical Info screen for Rachio 2 shows only Model, Serial Number, Firmware and MAC Address (same on web, Android app and iOS app). Is there a bug where RSSI only shows for gen 3?

I can see the RSSI value by hitting F12 in the browser, selecting the controller, filtering for DeviceState, selecting the request and finding “rssi” in the response.
