I’m just putting this out there for inspirational purposes. I like to hear what others do, so I just thought I’d share.
This past holiday season I had some inflatables in my front yard, however I had a problem with one of the inflatables covering up a sprinkler head when deflated. To solve the problem I setup an automation in SmartThings so that when that particular zone came on it triggered my holiday decorations to turn on as well. So when the sprinklers came on the inflatables inflated and uncovered the sprinkler head, and when the sprinklers turned off, the decorations were turned off again. Just a simple thing but it came in pretty handy.
