Goodmorning Rachio-ers!
I was just pondering how sometimes a customer has to have a 16 station rachio and an 8 station rachio if they want to replace their 22 zone Hunter controller with Rachio’s easier to use interface.
I wonder if Rachios tech team has ever considered that they could simply make the 8 zone controller (in the above example) into zones “17,18,19,20, 21, and 22 (with spare 23, and 24)” simply by making a combination of two serial numbers (controllers) into “one controller”
Of course its easy to come up with why its easier not to do this,
but dont underestimate the tech team, for them, this would be incredibly simple.
and it completely bypasses all the headache of new product design.
