I have not received an email stating run times of zone schedules have been changed in any way.
Is this because I have gone to flex scheduling? Will that weekly email continue at some point?

Flex schedule zone run times are constant, just the watering frequency (# of days) changes.
There will not be emails sent since the watering frequency changes so dynamically.
