Considering purchasing a weather station. There are Weather Underground PWS available to myself. I see the workaround with Weathersnoop that is available. What are the technical reasons Rachio cannot integrate Weather Underground directly and list those as PWS? Just curious.
Technically it’s possible for us to dual source (or multi-source) our weather providers, and we plan on doing this. It’s on the roadmap, I just can’t say when it will be available. WU would also be another licensing fee for us, so as a business we need to figure out what those costs are. Our major 3.0 release this year is going to open up many, many technical areas that will be possible to implement fairly quickly.
