Turning back on for spring?

So, last fall I put the controller into standby mode and also manually shut the 4 valves in our system to help protect the lines from freezing. Today, I went back out and opened the valves (system still in standby) and all of the sprinklers came on - all zones at the same time - as I opened each valve. I played around with the app but could not get any of them to shut off. I finally manually closed the values again and put it back in standby mode. What am I doing wrong?

My guess is that the manual valve operation is an override for testing or flushing the valve without the controller. Double check your valve instructions.

I’d guess you turned the little red knob on the solenoid valves, correct? If so you opened them. Tighten them back down and you should be good to go.
