A feature I would like to see is a simplified settings management for zones. Right now there are about 10 different settings to adjust to get the watering correct. What I would like to see is a weekly or monthly check in per zone, with two questions: 1) Are your plants happy? 2) Is there runoff after watering? With those two questions the system should be able to adjust the other settings to get eventual accuracy for effective watering. Keep the advanced settings for those who want to manually tweak their settings, but make it easier to improve the watering for those who don’t want super user features.
Until Rachio implements this feature, here’s a fairly simple work around, using a Flex Daily schedule:
To adjust the frequency of watering, adjust the crop coefficient.
To adjust the duration of watering, adjust the root depth.
