I am new to the Rachio community, as I replaced my older controller with Rachio. I had some interesting results when I first installed the hunter rain sensor. I originally mis-wired the “white” wire to common instead of connecting it to one of “yellow” wires. I had the same exact symptoms of the zone starting and stopping. Not sure if this helps or not but I figured better to share
