I recently installed a Rachio Gen 2 16-zone device. As part of that installation, I installed a new Rainbird Rain sensor (the one recommended on this site). I followed the FAQ on this site and it appears to be up and connected. One thing I didn’t see explicitly mentioned is if I need to do any configuration on the rain sensor itself. I assuming that I do, but I wanted to check first since it didn’t seem to be mentioned in the FAQ and I wasn’t sure if somehow the Rachio just communicates directly with the sensor’s sensor and thus didn’t need any configuration.
